Betsy Lynch joined the Wagoner Group in 2007 as an associate attorney after clerking for the Honorable Robert L. Trout. In 2002, she received a Bachelors of Arts in Business and Finance from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law in 2005. She is originally from Sikeston, Missouri and decided to pursue a legal career after clerking for a small private law firm in her hometown. Her father has been in the banking industry for over 30 years, so it is fitting that Betsy chose bankruptcy as her concentrated area of practice. She is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Federal Bar Associations of both the District of Kansas and the Western District of Missouri, the Association of Women Lawyers, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the Kansas City Bankruptcy Bar Association.

Betsy and her husband, Jake, are members of Visitation Catholic Church, and the couple have a small home in Brookside. She spends a majority of her free time volunteering for philanthropic organizations, the Junior League of Kansas City and the Association of Women Lawyers. She helps raise and manage funds regularly donated to different projects and organizations around Kansas City. She serves on the Finance Council for the Jr. League and currently is the Chairwoman of the Investment Committee. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Women Lawyers as the Community Support Vice Chairwoman. Betsy participates in the Amy Thompson Run for the benefit of the Brain Injury Association and is a member of a monthly women’s book and dinner club. She also enjoys traveling and regularly visits friends and family members who live in Arizona and North Carolina as well as her parents who have relocated to Hannibal, Missouri.
